If that doesn't break your tea time, how come you're so enthusiastic about optimizing every possible aspect, including boot time and shut down time?
It's true that loading only is an issue in the case of Firefox, but that's why I brought it up. I simply refuse to use Firefox because it's so bloated and it takes forever to load.
Opera has it all, even a simple but great e-mail client, which I use at work.

Because I don't think there's anything I can hack or tweak to speed it up apart from deleting / replacing the skin files, which I already did. It's been this "slow" since I jumped onboard a few years ago.

After running CCleaner on my work PC, Firefox loads much faster. The Firefox on my home PC is the portable version, but that's always slow. Something like that was part of the reason why I didn't want go with Opera portable.
